DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., February 23, 2011 - A fragile economy has left today’s job-seekers looking for direction as they navigate a complex and confusing U.S. job-market. Today, in honor of its 80th anniversary, DeVry University is forming the Career Advisory Board, a panel including leading representatives of business, academia and recognized career experts and authors who can deliver valuable insights on today’s most important career trends and provide real and actionable advice for job-seekers.

The Career Advisory Board will generate proprietary research and commentary, and create tools and resources to prepare job-seekers for success. The mission of the Career Advisory Board is to provide insight, advice and counsel on trends, economic forces and cultural shifts that impact career opportunities for today and tomorrow. Career Advisory Board members were selected based on their expertise, knowledge of career trends and ability to provide insight to facilitate career advancement.

“We established the Career Advisory Board to offer relevant perspective about today’s job market and opportunities to help anyone seeking to advance on their career path or be more competitive in their field,” said Dr. Claude Toland, vice president of student and career services, DeVry University and chairman of the Career Advisory Board. “Our founding board members have the experience and expertise to tackle some of the biggest issues in the job marketplace today and offer concrete advice.”
