DeVry University Students Create Digital Games for Travelers at O’Hare Airport

Naperville, Ill. – Jan. 30, 2020 – Traveling through Chicago O’Hare International Airport during spring break? Travelers can stop by the Fly with Butch O’Hare family lounge, located near Gate F3 in Terminal 2. In addition to a play area for children, the lounge has custom-designed video games for young and adult travelers alike that were created and developed by DeVry University students in partnership with the Chicago Department of Aviation.

DeVry University Alumni Receive People’s Choice Award at Global Tech Conference for their Solar Energy Tracking System

Long Beach, Calif. – Jan. 22, 2020 – Two recent local DeVry University graduates, David Palmer and Janio Moreno, were honored with the People’s Choice Award at the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Global Humanitarian Technology Conference (GHTC). Palmer and Moreno received the award for their Solar Energy Tracking System, which is designed to collect, store and use clean renewable energy from the sun.

DeVry University Student Receives CAMMY Award for Excellence in TV Production from PhillyCAM

Philadelphia, Pa. – Jan. 15, 2020 – When local DeVry University student, Ricky Clover, received a TV CAMMY Award for Excellence in Production by PhillyCAM for his computer-animated short film “Marky,” he was elated. Clover had been working on Marky for more than a year, spending all the time he could to complete his project at PhillyCAM, the Philadelphia Community Television training center, before reporting to his full-time security job on weekday afternoons.

DeVry University Receives Guard-Friendly School Designation by the Pennsylvania National Guard Associations

Naperville, Ill. – Jan. 9, 2020 – DeVry University was selected by the Pennsylvania National Guard Associations (PNGAS) to receive its inaugural Guard-Friendly School designation for the 2019-20 academic year. DeVry was among the first 30 higher learning institutions to receive the designation out of more than 480 eligible schools. The designation was created to recognize colleges, universities and trade schools who exceed the PNGAS’ criteria of creating a supportive learning environment that assists members of the Pennsylvania Guard in pursuing post-secondary degrees.
