Thomas Eveland, Ph.D., is a professor at DeVry University where he teaches online, onsite, and blended courses in finance, business and data analysis. As a national faculty chair, he leads large scale, multi-site national program assessment projects for accreditation reporting, specializing in “closing the loop” in continuous improvement cycles. He supports various departments with accreditation matters and is also a site evaluator for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.

Eveland initially joined DeVry in 2003, as an admissions representative and two years later became the associate dean for DeVry’s business and health programs, and an adjunct professor until 2007 when he left the university. He returned to DeVry four years later as an associate college dean for DeVry’s College of Business & Management and later became a professor and national chair for the college.

Previously, Eveland taught financial and managerial accounting at Ohio University, where he was also the manager of student recruitment, overseeing all functions of recruiting and student admissions. As manager of student recruitment, he led the campus to its highest level of enrollment and reported double-digit growth in the freshman class each year of his tenure. During this time, Eveland also served as a grant administrator and consultant to public school districts in southern Ohio and the Department of Education piloting new forms of early college and dual enrollment programs.

Eveland earned his Ph.D. in higher education from Ohio University. He also holds a master’s in business administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
