Title: Associate Professor, College of Business & Management

Campus: Alpharetta, Ga.

Ms. Holt is an associate professor at DeVry University where she specializes in project management and business information systems. She shares her expertise with students by teaching various courses in the business and management department, including project management and information systems.

Prior to Ms. Holt’s twenty-three years as an education instructor, ten of which were spent at DeVry University, she was owner and manager of Auto Detailing Masters, Inc. The previous three years, Ms. Holt worked on the sales side of the insurance services industry. Both positions were based in Richardson, Texas. Ms. Holt received a master’s degree in computer information systems from Southeastern Oklahoma University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Bob Jones University. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in educational leadership and human resources from Colorado State University; her dissertation will be on charter school governance in the state of Georgia.

In addition to her responsibilities as a professor, Ms. Holt serves as an active member of the Project Management Institute and the American Society for Quality. She is also a certified project management professional. 

Thought Leadership

-       Predicts that companies will start seeking only professionals that are certified or credentialed in their field. She believes that people who are project management professionals (PMP), Six Sigma certificate holders or American Society for Quality certificate holders will become increasingly more important in driving a company’s growth.

-       Believes business professionals must strive to create a lean, agile management environment.

-       As technology becomes more advanced, project management methodologies should become more efficient.
