Michael Vasilou is a senior professor at DeVry University in the College of Business & Management, where he teaches courses in business administration and accounting. His specialties are in teaching introductory accounting and finance.
Mr. Vasilou has been with DeVry University since 1989. Previously, Mr. Vasilou worked as a registered representative at Equitable and as the vice president of insurance and financial services at Asch and Associates, Inc.
Mr. Vasilou has received DeVry’s Ron Taylor Award on two occasions. He is a reviewer of various accounting textbooks for Prentice Hall and for law textbooks for McGraw-Hill. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the U.S. China Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Loyola University, a juris doctorate from DePaul University, a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago and is currently working towards a doctoral degree at the International School of Management.
