Jill Albrinck is chief operating officer of DeVry University. Prior to joining DeVry University, she worked for the Luxottica Group, a leader in the optical industry and owner of high profile retail brands, and was chief operating officer of LensCrafters. Albrinck’s previous experience also includes various leadership roles with Chiquita Brands International, and role as partner with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where she led both strategic and operational transformations for Fortune 500 companies.
Before Luxottica, Ms. Albrinck was Senior Vice President at Chiquita Brand International. She joined Chiquita after the company emerged from bankruptcy and was a key member of a small management team that successfully turned around the company and positioned it for growth. While there, she was the General Manager of Chiquita’s value-added fruit businesses and also led company-wide programs which increased profitability and created the cash required to grow and diversify the business.
Prior to Chiquita, Ms. Albrinck spent 10 years with the management consulting firm of Booz, Allen & Hamilton and was based in their Chicago office. She was a Partner with the firm and led both strategic and operational transformations for Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries including consumer products, healthcare, automotive, and aerospace.
She also spent time with the General Electric Company and is a graduate of their management training program.
Ms. Albrinck graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in physics from the University of Dayton. She earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where she graduated first in her class.
