Newt Walpert is the senior vice president and general manager of HP’s U.S. Sales spanning the Fortune 1,000 customer segment for personal systems, and the public sector and commercial segments for print and personal systems.
More than 30 years at HP, Walpert has held various leadership positions across the globe. Most recently, he was the senior vice president and general manager of HP Americas Printing and Supplies where he managed the P&L for printers, supplies and services within the region. He was accountable for all aspects of the Americas print business, from sales and marketing to product management.
With more than 10 years leading sales in North America for HP, Walpert was the general manager of HP’s North America Business Customer Sales Organization, sales and marketing division. In this role, Walpert was responsible for leading the server, storage and software sales teams aimed at the U.S. Enterprise business segment. He also lead HP’s Asia Pacific marketing center where he and his team were responsible for all aspects of product marketing and distribution strategies for HP’s printer business. Walpert has also held sales and marketing leadership roles for HP in Canada.
Walpert serves on DeVry University’s Board of Trustees and is a former trustee of the American Kidney Fund. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from Concordia University in Montreal.
