Title: Chief Marketing Officer, DeVry University and Keller Graduate School of Management

Melissa Esbenshade is the chief marketing officer for DeVry University, responsible for branding, paid media, public relations, social media, internal communications and strategic planning. With more than 20 years of experience, Esbenshade has held marketing and product management leadership roles across several industries including education, retail and financial services, with eight years in higher education. 

Previously, Esbenshade served as vice president of marketing for Carrington College, a sister institution to DeVry, and as vice president of marketing for Universal Technical Institute. With 10 years at General Electric in various marketing and product leadership roles, she attended GE’s Crotonville Leadership Center and earned her Six Sigma Black Belt.
 
Esbenshade received a Bachelor of Science in business administration with concentrations in marketing and international business from University of Richmond. She earned her MBA with a concentration in services marketing from Arizona State University, where she received several honors, including the Edward M. Carson Outstanding MBA student award.
