Title: Vice President of Finance, DeVry University

Kerry Kopera is the vice president of finance for DeVry University, responsible for providing financial vision, leadership, planning and management, including student finance and financial aid operations. She ensures the university is in compliance with the U.S. Department of Education Title IV requirements to ensure continued eligibility of federal financial aid resources. 

Kopera also leads DeVry’s Scholarship and Tuition Committee, responsible for recommending annual tuition rates and providing tuition savings approvals. In addition to managing the funds, she facilitates the processing of all tuition and scholarship changes.

Prior to joining DeVry in 2007, Kopera was the vice president of finance at National-Louis University, where she began as the controller in 1996, and was responsible for financial aid, student accounts, payroll, accounts payable, general ledger and regulatory operations. She began her career a decade earlier at Arthur Andersen, developing and teaching courses on various accounting and financial matters.

Kopera holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. She is a certified public accountant and serves on the Board of the Villa Park Historical Society in Villa Park, Illinois.
